A Gift for Those in Need

Playing sports is a wonderful thing. It’s a great way to exercise your body, get exposed to healthy competition, and make friends that last a lifetime. Being able to play sports should be accessible to everyone, but unfortunately, it’s not. Sometimes it’s a luxury that many can’t afford. At Sharetrees, we hope to put the benefits of playing hockey within everyone’s reach. Help us achieve our goal! Any contribution, no matter the size, will help spread the excitement, one step at a time.

Benefiting the GOALS Program

GOALS is an Orange County youth hockey program serving kids who would otherwise struggle to afford participation in this popular sport where equipment expenses are normally high. We collected used hockey gear and made a donation to them at their Anaheim office.

Special thanks to the Mater Dei Monarchs hockey team (below) for donating hockey gear to GOALS. Players Andrew Hung (1st row, 3rd from left) and Andrew Chang (1st row, 4th from left) volunteer their hockey expertise to GOALS as junior coaches.

In Fall 2016, we collected a whole lot of hockey equipment from several local teams and donated it to the GOALS hockey program. They were very excited about all the donated gear, and most especially about the skates and goalie gear. The equipment shown here is only a portion of all that was donated.

Coaching Skaters One By One

Young skaters benefit even from basic ice skating instruction, which they receive for free from our hockey playing members. This is easily accomplished during a public session at a local skating rink.
